The countdown is on! It’s only a few days to the official start of “WAR OR PEACE. Crossroads of History 1918 | 2018”. Apart from the workshops, we will have an interesting cultural programme organised by the Maxim Gorki Theatre and various side activities. The videobus tours for example will take you to historic sites of World War I. On the screens, you can see what the scenery looked like 100 years ago – and see how much has changed! However, you will also get a chance to engage with topics like migration in theatre workshops, to explore the city on guided walking tours or learn about peacekeeping in a unique exhibition. In a virtual reality experience, you can see your father go to war through the eyes of a little boy. For those of you, who just can’t get enough of developing, creating and debating, we will set up a Barcamp where you get to set your own topics. In the golden container that Shared_Studios provide, you can talk face to face with strangers on the other side of the world. On top of all this, fascinating projects will present the outcomes of their work. In a nut shell: You are spoilt with choice. Use the weekend to have a look through the programme and pick your favourites. From the start of the festival, you can pick up your tickets at the Info-Point in the Palais that is open daily 9 am to 8 pm. Better be quick – many activities have limited seating or participation capacity, so get your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
