Roll on, WAR OR PEACE!

It is no exaggeration to say that we are truly overwhelmed by your response to our invitation. At the moment, we are busily reviewing a total of 827 applications. In the course of the next few days we will send out confirmation e-mails. Please make sure to re-confirm your participation within the period stated in your confirmation e-mail! Only after we have received your re-confirmation, you will be officially admitted to the festival.

We can already guarantee that you will meet fascinating people from all over the world. While it did not come as a surprise to us that we received 163 applications from Germany, we would not have expected to find 67 applications from Russia and 42 from Albania, too. Overall, we received applications from 76 countries, among them the Philippines, Qatar, Sierra Leone, the Syrian Arab Republic, Canada, Bangladesh, Benin and Congo… And every one of these applications was unique. Some of you study history or international relations. Some of you have learned of WW I from your relatives. Some of you had to witness war yourselves. Some of you are activists who try to prevent history from repeating itself. Some of you work in the fields of remembrance culture and educational work. Some of you are artists who critically engage with the concepts of war or peace.

We would like to thank each and every one of you for your interest. While we cannot admit everyone to the campus due to space limitations, we would still love to have you all come to Berlin and join us! So please do not forget to check out our festival programme page. As you will see, many of the exciting activities offered in the festival will in fact be open to the public! We look forward to seeing you in Berlin in October and making WAR OR PEACE a once-in-a-lifetime experience together.
