WHAT HAPPENED HERE

100 years after it ended, the narrative about the First World War is still a mainly white-European one. In her lecture Kathleen Bomani examines the history of German colonialism in Tanzania during the First World War. She uncovers this legacy – not just to remember the past, but rather to make its meaning visible in the present.
